Description

Enjoy a concentrated experience with the Torres del Paine Full Day with Grey Glacier Navigation, a tour from Puerto Natales that will take you to the main highlights of Torres del Paine National Park.

We’ll start by picking you up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales and heading to Cerro Castillo, the gateway to the Torres del Paine commune. From there, the tour continues to the Sarmiento Lake Viewpoint, an ideal spot to capture your first panoramic views of the Torres del Paine reflected in the water, weather permitting.

Next, you’ll continue to the Amarga Lagoon Viewpoint, home to flamingos and offering spectacular views of the towers. After entering through the Laguna Amarga Park Entrance, you’ll follow the shores of Nordenskjöld Lake and visit Salto Grande, with unparalleled views of the Cuernos del Paine (Paine Horns).

The journey continues toward Pehoé Lake and finally to the imposing Grey Lake, where you’ll walk along the beach to board the catamaran and cruise across the lake toward the glacier, surrounded by icebergs and views of the Paine Massif. You’ll also be able to see the different shades of Grey Glacier, its crevasses, and possibly even a calving event. Finally, you’ll cruise back to the beach, where you’ll take the vehicle back to Puerto Natales, marking the end of the tour.

Important notes

  • If the Grey Glacier Navigation is canceled due to wind conditions and safety concerns in the area, only the navigation ticket will be refunded, equivalent to CLP$ 120.000 per person.
  • The cancellation of the navigation does not imply the cancellation of the rest of the tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Grey Glacier Navigation is subject to wind conditions and safety considerations in the area, so it may be canceled even after the passenger has arrived at the meeting point. If this happens, the navigation can be rescheduled for another time, subject to availability, or you can request a refund for the navigation ticket, equivalent to CLP$ 120.000 per person. The cancellation of the navigation does not imply the cancellation of the rest of the tour, which will continue as scheduled.

  • The navigation is done on a catamaran with capacity for 98 passengers. On board, you’ll find a heated indoor lounge to stay out of the wind and cold, with comfortable seats, tables, and restrooms. There’s also a small café where you can buy snacks and drinks during the ride.

It’s a stable vessel designed so you can enjoy the scenery without getting cold. If the weather cooperates, you can step outside: you can visit the main deck and the upper deck, accessed via stairs; if not, you’ll still have amazing views from the lounge.
