What to bring:
Make this trekking adventure through Torres del Paine viewpoints, starting from Puerto Natales with a 2-hour drive along Route 9.
Your trek begins at Sarmiento Gate, where you’ll hike the Aonikenk Trail, a wildlife corridor with views of the Paine Massif, Paine River, and nearby lakes. You’ll also see ancient rock paintings left by the region’s first inhabitants.
then you will continue the trip to Pudeto to admire the impressive Salto Grande, a 12-meter waterfall. Then, take a 2-hour round trip low-intensity hike to the Cuernos Viewpoint at Lake Nordenskjöld, with breathtaking views of the glacier, the French Valley, and the Cuernos del Paine.
After lunch in Pehoé, you’ll hike to the Condor Viewpoint (1 hour round trip), climbing to 350 masl. From there, you’ll enjoy one of the park’s most iconic views, featuring Paine Grande, the French Valley, the Cuernos del Paine, and Lake Pehoé.
After completing this 20 km trek, you’ll return to Puerto Natales, concluding an unforgettable Patagonian experience.
Important notes
The Torres del Paine Full Day is a panoramic tour suitable for all travelers. It includes a visit to the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument and the most iconic viewpoints within Torres del Paine National Park. In contrast, the Torres del Paine Viewpoints Trek consists of low- to moderate-difficulty hikes to alternative viewpoints within the park, accessible only on foot. It is designed for travelers who enjoy walking and have a good level of physical fitness. Both activities are different and complementary. The Full Day is the classic tour that allows you to visit the main highlights without significant physical effort, while the Viewpoints Trek offers a more active way to explore the park, with views of the same landscapes from different angles.
The trails on this route are mostly of low difficulty, ideal for people with little trekking experience and a sufficient fitness level who want to enjoy the scenery without extreme demands:
This combination allows you to enjoy a variety of landscapes and viewpoints without requiring prior trekking experience, but with a willingness to walk and explore.
