Then you’ll continue on, and start spotting Fitz Roy on the way to El Chaltén. Once there, you’ll receive your box lunch and be taken to the trailhead to begin your self-guided hike on marked trails (you can do only one during the time of the activity):

  • Laguna Capri: 6 km, 2 hours, easy.
  • Lago Torre: 12 km, 4 hours, moderate.

Important notes

  • You can choose which trek you’ll do when you board the vehicle.
  • Any of the trails are subject to availability on the day of the tour.
  • This tour does not include the hike to Laguna de los Tres (the classic Fitz Roy viewpoint) amongst the trek possibilities.
  • If you’re staying at an Airbnb, pickup is not door-to-door: we’ll coordinate a meeting point to start the tour.
  • Between May and September, some trails can be very difficult due to the weather, trail conditions, and fewer daylight hours.
  • In the middle of winter, it’s recommended to wear proper warm clothing and snow footwear to hike the trails, even to Laguna Capri.
  • In addition, the National Park may require trekking poles and crampons depending on the day’s conditions.
