Descripción

You will leave El Calafate early in the morning to head to El Chaltén, where you will have time to use the bathroom and adjust your gear to begin the Capri Lagoon Trek.


The first part of the trail you must follow is demanding, with a very steep climb during the first kilometer, so your skills for the activity will be tested here. You will arrive at Río de las Vueltas Viewpoint, where you can take a break and admire the surrounding views. You will then continue along a less steep slope along the valley side until you reach the fork towards Capri Lagoon.


Crampons may be necessary for this part of the trail, given the amount of snow that may be present during the tour season. As you continue, you will have access to incredible Patagonian landscapes, as the surrounding forest opens up and Mount Fitz Roy begins to appear. You will arrive at the lagoon where you can rest and have a picnic lunch, surrounded by a wonderful landscape straight out of a movie.


After the picnic and some time to rest, you will begin the return hike, heading back to the starting point to take the transportation back to El Calafate where the activity ends.
