What to bring:
We will gather in our meeting point to get in the Tatra 8x8 truck specially equiped for this experience. The Atacama HAT will take us at 18,700 ft. above sea level following an old road used to extract sulphur of the surroundings of the Sairecabur Volcano. While we go further, we will make stops to go out of the vehicle and receive explanations from our guide about local culture, flora, and fauna.
When we reach 14,107 ft. of altitude the steady flow oxygen system will be activated; it has a single valve for every passenger, so we can reduce the symptoms of the altitude sickness, if necessary. At the highest point we will have an authentic panoramic view of the desert, with the possibility to take pictures and have an idea of what might experience our bodies if we where climbing a mountain. After that, we will begin our way back to San Pedro de Atacama to end the tour.
