Descripción

We will pick you up at your hotel in La Serena to head north towards Punta de Choros, the departure point for this unforgettable adventure.


You will begin with a boat ride to Isla Choros, where you can spot diverse bird species such as Humboldt penguins, cormorants, and pelicans, as well as sea lions, otters, and, with some luck, bottlenose dolphins.


Then, you will land on Isla Damas, famous for its white-sand beaches and turquoise waters, a perfect setting to enjoy and take amazing photos.


Finally, we will return by boat to La Serena, closing a tour that combines wildlife, marine life, and the stunning coastal landscapes of northern Chile.

The disembark ticket is not included, it must be paid in cash the day of the tour, and it costs:

 

  • Residents in Chile:
    • Adult: CLP$ 5.000 per person.
    • Minor (age 12 to 17): CLP$ 3.400 per person.
    • Child (age 0 to 11): for free.
    • Elderly people (age 60 or more): for free.
  • Non-residents in Chile:
    • Adult: CLP$ 11.000 per person.
    • Minor (age 12 to 17): CLP$ 5.500 per person.
    • Child (age 0 to 11): for free.

 

In March, disembarkation is allowed from Wednesday to Sunday, while from April toDecember, it is only allowed from Thursday to Sunday; in January and February, disembarkation is possible from Tuesday to Sunday, and always subject to approval by the maritime authority.


*The pickup is made only in downtown La Serena and in the Hotel Enjoy Coquimbo. After making your booking we will indicate if it is inside the downtown pickup area. If you are staying in Coquimbo or outside downtown area, we will set a meeting point.


*Consider that, during winter, you can see less fauna, because there is the migration and nesting period.


*No charge for children up to the age of 1. Once you’ve made the booking, write at reservas@denomades.com to indicate name, passport number and nationality of the child traveling without cost.

  • Depends on the nesting period, because this is a species that can nest twice a year between March and December. However, in Isla Damas for sure you will see many penguins between October and April.

  • To book Humboldt Penguin & Damas Island, you must choose the date and follow the steps on the website. You can add more tours to your cart before confirming your booking.
  • We accept bookings up to 1 days in advance, subject to availability. Therefore, we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your spot.
  • A minimum of 8 people is required to confirm the service. If this number is not met, we will offer you the closest available dates or a full refund. The earlier you book, the more time we have to add passengers and confirm the departure.
