We will pick you up from your hotel in La Serena and head to the base of Cerro Mamalluca, a location free from light pollution and perfect for astronomy.
You will receive an introduction to astronomy with our guide, who will use a laser pointer to help you identify planets and constellations. Then, you will use a 16, 20, or 24-inch telescope to observe deep-sky objects invisible to the naked eye. You will also take part in an astrophotography session, capturing the starry sky as a unique memory.
Finally, we will return to La Serena, closing an unforgettable evening of science, nature, and stargazing under Chile’s northern skies.
*The astronomical observation will be modified during the nights with moon, due the amount of light. During nights of full moon there will be no astrophotography.
*In case you want to book this tour, but you are staying in Coquimbo, you have to be at Francisco de Aguirre Ave. and Pedro Pablo Muñoz St. at the starting time of the activity, except if you are staying at the Hotel Enjoy, where we will pick you up.
