Enjoy a restorative soak at Termas de Puritama, located 30 km from San Pedro de Atacama. The waters originate in the Andes and are geothermally heated before reaching the Puritama River, forming eight natural pools surrounded by hills and native vegetation.
The complex is set up for comfort: each pool has changing rooms, restrooms, and terraces, and the average water temperature is 33 °C (91 °F), ideal for unwinding after your excursions. With this transfer, you arrive hassle-free and focus on relaxing and enjoying the setting.

- Return times are approximate and may vary by ±1 hour due to weather, road conditions, and group pace.
- Pick-up and drop-off is not available for lodgings outside the urban area, in nearby ayllus (Quitor, Yaye, Checar, Sequitor, Solor, Coyo) or in Toconao.

The maximum altitude reached is 3500 m. For a good acclimation, our recommendation is to eat a light meal and drink lots of water the previous days to the excursion. Because of the altitude, we recommend leaving this tour for the end of your stay in San Pedro de Atacama.
This excursion can be made every day of the year, except for January 1 and December 25.
The vehicle will depend on the size of the group, having a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (or similar) for 18 people, or a Volare (or similar) for maximum 25 people.
From the 4 hours and a half that lasts the activity, approximately, you will use 2 hours tops to dive into the hot springs.
- In spite of the fact that both places are in the same river, Puritama is closer to the source of the hot springs, so you have hot and warm water. Besides, it is a thermal complex, so it has bathrooms and dressing rooms. For its part, Puripobre is farther away from the source of the hot springs, so you have warm and cold water, and it is not a thermal complex, so it has no bathrooms nor dressing rooms. Moreover, to access to Puripobre you have to make a 40-minute medium difficulty walk to reach the pools (not suitable for people with limited mobility), while in Puritama you can have easy access through walkways (suitable for all people).
