You will begin your journey traveling 60 kilometers south of Punta Arenas to visit four historical landmarks that tell the story of Chile’s first settlement in the Magallanes region. You will discover Fuerte Bulnes, built in 1843 on the shores of the Strait of Magellan, standing on the rocky headland of Punta Santa Ana. You will also visit the Visitors Center, the Geographic Landmark Half of Chile, and the mysterious Puerto del Hambre, site of the first Spanish colony in the region and today part of Parque Rey Don Felipe.
After lunch (not included), the tour continues with a city tour of Punta Arenas, where you will visit iconic places such as the Waterfront, the Municipal Cemetery, the Shepherd Monument, the Nao Victoria Museum, the Cerro de la Cruz Viewpoint, and the Plaza Muñoz Gamero, home to the statue of Ferdinand Magellan.
We will end this full day by returning with the unforgettable experience of exploring history, culture, and nature in the southernmost part of Chile.
