This 12 km round-trip trail takes you through one of the most beautiful pre-Andean landscapes near the impressive Llaima Volcano. From the Sierra Nevada viewpoint, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramas of Conguillio Lake and the surrounding Andean scenery.
Along the 4-hour hike, you will see glacial waterfalls, and walk through forests of ñirre, coigüe, lenga, and ancient araucaria trees, which in autumn transform into a stunning display of colors. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, as you may spot the Magellanic woodpecker and the Andean condor.
We will return to the trailhead after a memorable day of hiking, surrounded by native forests, unique wildlife, and the striking views of the Sierra Nevada Volcano.
