The sound of your crampons biting into the ice sets the rhythm for everything that follows. On this Minitrekking 2 (Extended) adventure, you'll hike across the ever-changing surface of Perito Moreno Glacier, where deep crevasses, towering seracs, and brilliant turquoise meltwater pools reveal a frozen landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, this living glacier is constantly evolving, making every trek unique.
This is the longer version of the Minitrekking (Classic) experience, covering a total of 5.5 km (3.4 mi) across glacier ice, moraine, and rocky terrain, with approximately 4 hours of hiking. The trek is moderately challenging, featuring uneven but stable terrain and a steady walking pace. Groups are limited to 20 participants, with one guide for every 10 travelers, ensuring a personalized experience. A helmet and crampons are provided for your safety. If you select the optional transportation service, you'll also enjoy a 1-hour visit to the glacier walkways for panoramic views from a different perspective. The excursion operates year-round, although departures in May are subject to weather conditions.
