We will start by picking you up from your hotel in Castro and head to Dalcahue, known for its traditional cocinerías, its handicraft fair, and the impressive Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, declared a World Heritage Site. Next, we will continue to Curaco de Vélez, where you will stroll along its waterfront, visit its squares, and admire another of the iconic Chilote churches listed as World Heritage.
Our journey continues to Achao, one of the oldest towns in Chiloé, home to the Santa María de Loreto Church, the island’s oldest, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, we will travel rural routes to learn about traditional farming practices and how locals manage natural resources sustainably.
Depending on the season, we may stop for birdwatching before returning to Castro, concluding a memorable day exploring Chiloé’s history, culture, and traditions.
