We will pick you up at your accommodation to travel to the north of the city of Ushuaia for 20 minutes. Where the vehicle will leave you, you will start the Esmeralda Lagoon trek by a track that goes through the Lasifashj Valley, with peatlands and rocky ground during summer, because the landscape changes during winter. You will go into a typical Patagonian forest by the Esmeralda River to the lagoon with the same name. There you will be able to see the lagoon at its best, lake of glacier origin and with colors given by the sediments of the Ojos del Albino Glacier. It is important to mention that the emerald color is possible to see it in summer, because during winter the lagoon freezes and it’s covered with snow, which gives you a completely different perspective. After enjoying the views of the landscape and take pictures, you will eat your box lunch before going back by the same path, which will allow you recognize the landscape before reaching the vehicle and returning to Ushuaia, where the activity ends.
