What to bring:
You will start at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, honoring the victims of Chile’s military dictatorship. Then, you will walk through iconic streets and passages, admiring historic houses and learning about important figures. Among them, the French Barber Shop, over a century old, and the house of Ignacio Domeyko, a Polish scientist who made key contributions to Chilean geology.
Later, you will reach Plaza Yungay, the beating heart of the neighborhood, where you will see the statue of the Chilean Common Man, a tribute to the people’s bravery in the Battle of Yungay. Across the square stands the San Saturnino Church, inaugurated in 1887, and finally, you will visit the Capuchin Church, built between 1853 and 1861 next to Cumming metro station.
We will finish this experience by showing you the highlights of Barrio Yungay, one of Santiago’s most traditional and authentic districts.
*The tour will be confirmed as long as there are at least two confirmed bookings for the date you wish to take the tour.
