Join us on the Alto del Naranjo Trek, a medium-difficulty hike in Santiago’s foothills that offers breathtaking views and a unique encounter with a centenary quillay tree.
On this 2-hour hike, you will walk along a trail surrounded by native vegetation, enjoying panoramic views of the Andes Mountains and the city of Santiago. Weather permitting, you will admire the impressive Cerro El Plomo and the Iver Glacier. At the end of the trail, you will reach a century-old quillay tree, the only large tree in the area, where you can rest, take photos, and enjoy the mountain landscape before heading back.
We will return to the starting point together, carrying with us the rewarding experience of connecting with nature and admiring some of Santiago’s most stunning mountain views.
It is a challenging hike, recommended for individuals in good physical condition due to the 2,600-foot ascent and uneven terrain.
There are no hydration points on the trail, so it is essential to bring enough water for the entire hike.
