What to bring:
We’ll start this excursion from Salta, passing through the tobacco-growing towns of Cerrillos, La Merced, and El Carril. Journey through the lush green Quebrada de Escoipe, then travel the winding Cuesta del Obispo up to Piedra de Molino at 3,348 meters of altitude (10,984.25 ft.)
You’ll continue along the fascinating Recta del Tin Tin, a 20 km (12.4 miles) straight road built by the ancient Quechuas, and explore the stunning Los Cardones National Park, where unique landscapes, flora, and wildlife await.
In Cachi, you’ll stroll through its cobblestone streets, admire its colonial architecture mixed with Diaguita and Inca heritage, visit the Archaeological Museum, and the historic Parish Church.
After free time for lunch and exploring, we’ll return to Salta to end this unforgettable journey through northern Argentina.
