Take on a unique challenge with the Monte Tarn Trek, a high-difficulty hike south of Punta Arenas that follows Charles Darwin’s historic route and rewards you with spectacular views of the Strait of Magellan.


We will pick you up at your accommodation and travel 70 km to the Brunswick Peninsula. After a briefing from the guide, you will begin a 3.5-hour ascent to the summit of Monte Tarn. At the top, you will have 45 minutes to rest and admire breathtaking panoramas of the strait and nearby islands.


On the descent, you will observe the flora and fauna of Patagonia and experience the extreme weather conditions that define this remarkable landscape. After completing 12 km of hiking in about 7 hours, you will enjoy a snack by the beach before returning to Punta Arenas.


*Not always we can reach the top of the hill due to weather conditions. If this is the case, we will wait a weather improvement or it will be replaced by an alternative hike.
