What to bring:
We will depart from Pucón to the Villarrica Ski Center, where the trek begins. Those who wish may save the first 50 minutes by taking the chairlift (ticket not included). The group will gather at the end of the lift to continue the climb together.
At a steady pace, with breaks to rest and hydrate, you will enjoy increasingly breathtaking views as we gain altitude. After 3 to 4 hours of hiking, we will reach the volcano’s summit at 2,400 meters above sea level.
From the crater, you will admire an unforgettable panorama of eight volcanoes (Llaima, Lonquimay, Sierra Nevada, Quetrupillán, Lanín, Choshuenco, Osorno, and Tolhuaca) as well as the lakes Caburgua, Calafquén, Huilipun, Neltume, Panguipulli, and Villarrica.
We will return with the thrill of having conquered the summit of Villarrica Volcano, a truly iconic adventure in La Araucanía.
*According to Villarrica National Park regulations, staying at the crater is limited to 10 minutes.
*If you are staying in the Condominio Alta Vista, in the Variante Camino Internacional 459, the pickup will be at the beginning of the way up, because the road is too complicated for the vehicles.
*The summit arrival is subjected to the participants' physical conditions as well as the area's weather conditions.
*Although you can bring your personal equipment with you, in case you need we have complete mountain equipment: mountain shoes, helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, crampons, piolet, gas mask and backpack.
