We will gather at our meeting point to leave Huaraz, heading south towards the Callejón de Huaylas, where you will start the Wilcacocha Lagoon Trek. You will arrive at Shansha where you will begin the 2-hour ascent trek through the Cordillera Negra, which is part of the Western Ranges, one of the three mountain ranges in the Andes of central western Peru. Here you can appreciate the vegetation and the landscape that surrounds the trails of the mountain range. Once at Wilcacocha Lagoon, you will have time to rest, eat and take photographs. Then you will walk downhill for another 2 hours, to finally return to the city of Huaraz.
