You will depart from Sao Paulo to Serra da Cantareira, the largest preserved forest area in an urban zone in Brazil, where you will visit the Engordador Nucleus, one of the five tourist centers open to visitors.
You will begin the tour by visiting the Fauna and Flora Interpretation Center, where you will learn a little more about the history of the area and the flora and fauna species you will be able to observe during the trek.
After the visit, your tour guide will provide safety instructions for the trek, before beginning the Macuco Trail, a stretch of approximately 1 km where you can observe some of the region's flora and fauna.
You will then follow the Waterfalls Trail, a stretch of approximately 4 km, where you will cross the Engordador River at various points, stopping to take photos. You will also have the chance to swim in two different waterfalls: Engordador and Véu da Noiva.
Upon returning from your hike, you will visit the dam's viewing platform and the Casa da Bomba complex, the former water supply system for the city of São Paulo.
You will then go on an 8km round-trip hike in the Pedra Grande core, where you will visit Carp Lake and adjacent trails that will take you to the viewpoint at the top of Pedra Grande, which offers incredible views of the city of São Paulo.
