We will gather at our meeting point to start this Colonial City Bike Tour. The first stop will be Colón Park and the Cathedral. Here you will learn some of the history of the park, the church, and the surrounding businesses. From there you will go down to Billini Square and La Casa del Tostado. You will continue pedaling until you reach the Ruins of the Dominican Convent and Duarte Park. From here you will head to Regina Alley where you will learn about the church and various businesses located there. You will go up José Reyes Street until you reach Las Mercedes Street. There you will see the Las Mercedes Church, and what is called the new alternative center of the Colonial Zone. From there, you will go down Sánchez Street to the Malecón and hear the history of the Balandra Aurora Monument and the obelisks. You will continue along the old city wall. First the South Wall, where you will visit the San José Park, Montesinos Monument, among others. From there you will reach Las Damas Street, the oldest street in the city, and here is where you will learn the most about the history of the place. Following the wall you will see important monuments such as the House of Christopher Columbus, the House of Hernán Cortés and the Ozama Fortress, among others. Then you will arrive at the Spain Square where the Alcázar of Don Diego Colón, the Barrio de las Atarazanas and the ruins of the customs buildings are located. Then you will head towards Santa Barbara and finally towards the last stop from where you will see the Ruins of San Francisco.
