Descripción

We’ll depart from Bahía Exploradores aboard La Certeza, a boat for up to 14 passengers, offering an intimate and comfortable journey. As we sail through the delta of the Exploradores River, you’ll enjoy the scenery while having breakfast on board.

After about 2 hours, we’ll enter the Laguna San Rafael National Park, where, weather permitting, we’ll disembark for a 30-minute walk to the ruins of the historic Hotel Ofqui.

The trip continues to the mighty San Rafael Glacier wall, where you’ll see floating icebergs and, with luck, witness an ice calving. You may also spot a leopard seal resting on the ice.

We’ll enjoy lunch with glacier views, followed by a toast with whisky or local liqueur over millennial ice, before returning to the dock to end this memorable Patagonian adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The navigation is carried out on a motor boat equipped with two outboard engines, with capacity for 14 passengers and two crew members. It features a restroom, galley, and heating to keep you warm in Patagonia’s cold, rainy climate. There is also a bow deck that can be used only when the boat is stopped and with crew authorization. A stern deck is available solely for boarding and disembarking.

  • Yes, you can drive your own vehicle to the meeting point for the navigation, in case you select the option without transport from Puerto Rio Tranquilo. The road from Puerto Río Tranquilo to the pier is about 90 km of gravel, so it is recommended to drive slowly and allow extra travel time. In general, the road is suitable for all types of vehicles, as long as it is not a motorhome or a very large vehicle, since over the last 10 km there is a bridge that does not allow larger vehicles to pass. If you are coming in a standard car, SUV, or pickup truck, you can get there without any problem, just taking the usual precautions for a gravel road.
