What to bring:
You will begin this Mendoza Free Tour at the main fountain in Independence Square, where you will hear a brief history of Mendoza while exploring the square and other iconic landmarks in the city center.
You will continue the tour going to the popular Sarmiento Avenue, which is home to much of the city's hospitality industry and offers a wide variety of cuisine, including beer, grilled meats, empanadas, and organic food.
The tour will continue along Emilio Civit Avenue, one of the city's most beautiful streets, discovering the mansions, villas, and chalets, along with their stories, until reaching the famous San Martín Park.
You will also learn about Mendoza's natural resources, as the city is located in a very arid region of Argentina, so water scarcity has raised environmental awareness.
Finally, you will conclude the free tour at the Gates of General San Martín Park.
A free tour is a guided walking tour for which no fixed price is set in advance. At the end of the tour, the guide expects a tip as a thank you for their time and expertise, but the amount is up to you, depending on what you consider fair. It's a flexible and accessible way to get to know the city with the guidance of an expert.
