Descripción

We’ll depart from Mendoza along National Route 7, crossing the pre-Andean landscapes of Potrerillos until we reach the entrance to Aconcagua Provincial Park, where you’ll start hiking at the foot of the highest peak in the American continent.

From the start of the trail, you’ll begin trekking through Quebrada del Durazno, walking through high-mountain valleys and enjoying panoramic views of the Andes. The goal of the day is to reach Confluencia, at an altitude of 3,400 m, an approach camp for mountaineers preparing to climb Aconcagua. Here you’ll stop for lunch, rest and take your time to soak in the views of the massif and its surroundings.

After this well-deserved break, you’ll begin the descent back toward Horcones, following the river and admiring the scenery from a new perspective. At the end of the hike, your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Mendoza, so you can end the day with the satisfaction of having experienced an unforgettable high-mountain trek.
