You will start this Belem Free Tour that will take you to discover the origins of this city of Lisbon. You will walk to the most famous pastry shop in Portugal, where the Pastels of Belém are made. You will have access to the history of the pastry shop, you will also discover why they are so famous and you will be able to buy some to taste the taste of this tradition. You will then head to the Jerónimos Monastery, which was commissioned by Dom Manuel I to commemorate Vasco da Gama’s return from India and inaugurated in 1501. You will then cross the street to the Empire Square, and then continue to the Monument to the Discoveries on the banks of the Tagus River. After a moment to contemplate and take photos, you will go to the Belém Tower, a construction from the early 16th century that played a leading role in the Age of Discovery.
