We will pick you up at your accommodation in the city of Huaraz to head north to the district of Marcará. You will pass through the farming community of Vicos before entering the Huascarán National Park. You will follow the path through the Paqcharuri in the middle of a forest until you reach Rocotuyoc Lake, which is located at an altitude of 4,550 meters. If the weather is good, you will be able to see the blue and green colors under the clear sky, with the glacier in the background, a true wonder of nature in the mountain range of this part of Peru. Then, you will make a medium difficulty walk for 1 hour to reach the frozen lagoon and the glacier (2 hours in total, considering the return), where you can rest and contemplate the impressive mountain landscape, as well as take pictures to take home as a souvenir. From this place, you will also have views of the snowy mountains Paccharaju, Copa, Akilpo and others. After this moment, you will begin the return, where you can stop to visit the Paqcharuri waterfall and the cave paintings. You will also stop at a restaurant for lunch (not included) and then continue the return to Huaraz.
