Description

Long before the boardwalks overlooking Perito Moreno Glacier existed, other peoples had already left their mark on this land. On this tour, you'll travel a total of 230 km along the Ancestral Route.

Over the course of this 11-hour tour, you will begin your journey by vehicle, discovering the history of Argentine Patagonia, from its earliest inhabitants to the boardwalks overlooking Perito Moreno Glacier. You'll cross the bridge over the Centinela River and visit a historic site where rural strikes took place in the early 1920s. Then, you'll continue along a road to the Bosque Lago Roca Trail, where a 30-minute walk will take you to rock art paintings.

Next, you'll go to Los Glaciares National Park, where you'll have 2 hours to explore the boardwalks and admire Perito Moreno Glacier from different viewpoints. If you choose to add the Nautical Safari, your time will be split between 1 hour on the boardwalks and 1 hour of boat navigation. Finally, on the way back, you'll stop at the Lake Argentino Viewpoint to take a few final photos before arriving in El Calafate.
