El Calafate Balcony 4x4

Let's experience some adventure with this El Calafate Balcony 4x4 tour, with which we will see the city and the Argentino Lake from the heights, besides getting to know a different landscape in the top of the hills surrounding El Calafate.

Itinerary:

• Hotel pick up to go to the hill base, from where we will go upwards to the Balcony.
• We will go up by a 350 meters slope.
• At 900 meters above sea level, we will meet our guide to go across for 1 hour and a half above the line of the hills in a 4x4 vehicle.
• We will reach 1,050 meters above sea level while we go deeper into the steppe landscapes.
• There will be a stop in a natural viewpoint, from where we will have a panoramic view of El Calafate and the central body of the Argentino Lake.
• During the tour, we will see also the Andes and the glaciers accumulation area.
• If there are good weather conditions and a clear sky we will see the Fitz Roy Hill and the Tower in El Chaltén.
• We will arrive to the Piedras Maze, an 85 million years old formation that contains fossilized remains of animals and vegetables.
• We will make a stop in the shelter prepared to enjoy our afternoon snack.
• After that, we can make a walk to reach a point with wonderful views of the Moyano Valley.
• To finish the tour, we will go back to the starting point and descend to return to El Calafate after 3 hours.
