You will begin this adventure in Puerto Chacabuco, about an hour and a half from Coyhaique, where you will board a catamaran to explore the Patagonian fjords. Along the way, you will admire the lush evergreen Valdivian forest and the pristine landscapes that make this region unique.
When you arrive at Laguna San Rafael, you’ll be amazed by its ancient glacier, which breaks off massive floating icebergs. If weather conditions allow and the captain gives the go-ahead, you’ll have the chance to hop on a Zodiac boat and cruise between the ice blocks to get even closer to the glacier, take unforgettable photos, and be blown away by the scale of this natural spectacle. On board, you’ll also enjoy a full meal service and activities that will make the day even more special.
Finally, we will return together to Puerto Chacabuco, closing an 11-hour Patagonian adventure you will remember forever.
Yes, parking is available at the location. The approximate daily rate for small vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and pickup trucks is CLP $3,500.
The excursion is operated on a catamaran, and the vessel size may vary depending on daily operations: we sail on boats with capacity for 94 or 195 passengers. All vessels comply with maintenance, operating, and onboard safety standards, and the crew is certified by local maritime authorities. Both vessels have two decks: a main deck and an upper observation deck for better glacier viewing. They also feature restrooms and heating in the interior areas for a comfortable trip in Patagonian weather.
