We will gather at our meeting point to head towards Tulum. Tulum, which means wall in Maya, formerly known as Zamá (sunrise in Maya). This was a walled city of the Mayan culture located in Quintana Roo, in the southern part of Mexico. Tulum’s archeological site was built on the top of a cliff on the shore of the Caribbean Sea. It was an important commercial port and one of the few Mayan cities that were still inhabited when the Spaniards arrived. In this archeological site you will learn about the Maya history and about their architecture and temples. You will also visit the Sacred Cenote, where you can swim in its refreshing and peaceful waters. Then you will return to your accommodation, ending the activity.
