We will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Varas to begin this tour to the Osorno Volcano and Petrohué Falls. We will travel along the scenic shores of the stunning Lake Llanquihue, enjoying its views and the majestic profile of the Andes Mountains, until we reach Ensenada. From there, you will start the ascent to the Osorno Volcano Ski & Mountain Center, where we will stay for one hour to admire the landscape: the Andean peaks, the lake in all its splendor, and even the Pacific Ocean on clear days.


You can enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate at the café, or, if you wish, take the chairlift (not included and subject to availability) to Primavera Station or Glacier Station, at 1,450 and 1,750 m a.s.l., respectively, for unique panoramic views.


Then, you will head to Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park (entrance not included), where you will walk through native forest trails to reach the spectacular Petrohué Falls, famous for their turquoise waters flowing powerfully over volcanic rock.


Next, you will go to Petrohué Port, on the shores of Todos los Santos Lake. If weather and boat availability allow, you may take a 30-minute motorboat ride (not included) and enjoy the contrast between emerald waters, the volcano, and the lush Valdivian forest. Finally, we will return to Puerto Varas, ending a day filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.

*From Monday to Friday, until June 2025, the Volcán Osorno mountain resort will remain closed, and the chairlifts will not be operating.


*If your accommodation is an Airbnb or the Hotel Casa Azul, we will have to set a meeting point to begin the tour, because the pickup is not made in this kind of places.


*The end time of phis activity might be modified because of the number of passengers during January and February, which is bigger than the rest of the year. Because of that, our recommendation is not to buy tickets to leave Puerto Varas until 5 hours after the end of the tour or leave your trip for the day after.

  • The entrance fee for Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park must necessarily be bought not later than the day before the excursion, in https://www.pasesparques.cl/. At the moment of the pickup, the guide will ask for the entrance fees to all passengers, including children and adults over the age of 60. If one of them does not have the tickets, he or she will not be able to make the tour and there will be no refund.
