The Monte Albán, Cuilapam and Artisan Villages Day Trip will begin with a visit to the Monte Albán archaeological site, located 8 km from Oaxaca City. This archaeological site is famous for being one of the most important cities in Mesoamerica and for being declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. Then you will continue the tour to the former convent of Cuilapam de Guerrero, an old convent in Mexico from the 16th century, of impressive dimensions, but which was never finished and although it is currently in ruins, it is one of the most emblematic buildings of the colonial architecture of Oaxaca. Later, you'll learn the process of making alebrijes, unique pieces carved from wood. And, after arriving in the San Bartolo Coyotepec town, you will learn how expert artisans make black clay vessels.
