We will gather at the meeting point to begin our Mysteries and Legends of Munich Tour. You will visit sites such as the Alter Hof, which was the fortress and residence of the Wittelsbach family. There you will find the famous Monkey Tower, a tower that received that name because, legend has it, a monkey once climbed to the top. You will also hear the story of the person who is considered to be Munich’s last witch. Next, you will visit the Residenz and the Opera, where you will hear the legend of the woman in black and the story of the Pappenheimer family, who were tried and executed for witchcraft. You will also hear the story of an ill-fated jeweler, the burning of the so-called “Hotel Hell,” the legend of the Plague Dragon, and other interesting tales.
