What to bring:
We will gather at our meeting point to start this Violence & Post-conflict Free Tour. Within the Colombian conflict, Medellín has a difficult but important place since it has been both the epicenter of the war and urban victims and the example of transition towards peace and post-conflict. On this tour you will get to know San Antonio Park, House of Memory Museum, while you discover its history and its main actors. You will learn about history from 1982 to 2015, delving into what happened after the Medellín Cartel with the "Donbernability" and how that past is still present today, in addition to the efforts of this town to overcome its dark past and create a better present.
A free tour is a guided walking tour for which no fixed price is set in advance. At the end of the tour, the guide expects a tip as a thank you for their time and expertise, but the amount is up to you, depending on what you consider fair. It's a flexible and accessible way to get to know the city with the guidance of an expert.
