We will gather at our meeting point to start this Essaouira Day Trip. Essaouira, also known as the blue pearl of the Atlantic, is a port city in Morocco, located on the western Atlantic coast, north of Cape Sim, where history, culture, beautiful beaches and a vibrant arts and music scene combine. It has nearly 70,000 inhabitants and its medina or historic center has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2001. Here the elements of an 18th century coastal military fortification are combined with those of an ancient city preserved within its walls and you can wander around certain sections of them. It is the perfect place to disconnect and rest from the hustle and bustle that characterizes the city of Marrakech. In the city you will have free time to admire its fortress, the fishing port, the labyrinthine Medina and its endless beach. Here you can also try the delicious fish and seafood freshly caught in the area.
