The Amazon Museum, or MUSA by its acronym in Portuguese, is a museum that covers 100 hectares (1 km²) of the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve of the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA as per its acronym in Portuguese) in Manaus. This is an area of native rainforest that has been studied for over 60 years.
At MUSA, you will find exhibits, orchid and bromeliad nurseries, araceae, palm trees, ferns, snakes, spiders, and scorpions, butterflies, cicadas, mushrooms, and toadstools, as well as a sensory garden, the Amazonian Lake Victoria, and aquariums. There is also a 42-meter tower that offers magnificent views of the treetops. All of this makes it the ideal place to connect with and learn about the area's nature.
