Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Tour

We will gather at our meeting point to begin this trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. During the 43 kilometer (27 mile) journey, you can watch a documentary about the Holocaust. When we arrive, you can explore Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II Birkenau at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. This camp was established in 1940 and was the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Around 1.3 million people were sent here, of whom 1.1 million died. While the vast majority of the prisoners were Jews, there were also Roma, Soviet prisoners of war, and prisoners of more than twenty other nationalities. The guide will narrate the historical events that took place here through the headphones provided at the beginning of the tour.
