You will depart from the city of Flores on this tour that will take us to learn more about the Maya culture. The tour to Tikal National Park, created in 1955 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, is a biosphere reserve whose main attraction is the Maya city of Tikal. We will take a tour here through the remains of the city where some important buildings are still being preserved, such as the Temple of theGreat Jaguar. Also, if we purchase the corresponding tickets, we will be able to visit the museum inside the park. After touring the city, we will return to Flores and end the activity.
To enter Tikal National Park, non-resident visitors must purchase the "entrada al parque (Extranjerois)" ticket, which costs Q150 (approximately US$ 20) and grants access from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
All tickets can be purchased through the official website or at authorized agencies.
Inside the park, you’ll find the Sylvanus G. Morley Museum and the Lithic Museum, both requiring an additional fee of Q30 per person for foreign visitors. Museum tickets cannot be purchased online, they must be paid in cash and in local currency directly at the site on the day of your tour.
