We will gather at our meeting point to head to the Poseidon Temple and Cape Sounion. You will travel along the southern coast to the Athenian Riviera. Once in Sounion you will be able to appreciate the famous landscape that surrounds the cape. In the time of the ancient Greeks, this site was venerated as sacred ground dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena. You will be able to see the Temple of Poseidon, located on the edge of the cliff 70 meters above the sea. You will have the chance to be on the same cliff where King Aegeus is said to have thrown himself. In Greek mythology it is said that Aegeus told his son Theseus that if he defeated the Minotaur, he would raise white sails on his ship. Theseus forgot this request, and when Aegeus saw Theseus's black sails, he threw himself into the sea. Before returning you will be able to see the sunset over this wonderful setting.
