You will depart in the morning for Salento, where you will board a jeep to visit the wax palm valley. Here you will have access to a viewpoint from which you can marvel at the area's natural scenery. You will begin the Cocora Valley and Acaime Reserve Trek of medium difficulty passing through ravines, hanging bridges, cloud forests and waterfalls, while observing the birds and other species of flora and fauna that live there. You will walk approximately 5 km, strolling through primary forests and appreciating the views of the wax palm, declared the National Tree of Colombia, one of the tallest palm trees in the world, reaching between 50 and 60 meters. You will also visit the Acaime Nature Reserve, where you will appreciate the beautiful hummingbirds, important pollinators, that live here.
