The Trevi Fountain is the great favorite of Instagrammers<\/em> when they visit Rome, but let’s leave the influencer <\/em>side aside and let’s get to the important thing. We know you’ll want to take a thousand photos, but please spend some time looking at this incredible work of art. Have you ever thought about what is behind the Trevi Fountain?<\/strong> This fountain is actually the rear fa\u00e7ade of the Poli palace, without a doubt, it must be the most beautiful fa\u00e7ade (back and front) in the world.<\/p>\n\n

2. Roman Forum<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Once at the Roman Forum<\/strong>, the first thing you should keep in mind is that you are going to spend a lot of time here, especially if you visit with an organized excursion, something that we totally recommend to understand the history of this place, where the social, cultural, political and economic life of the city took place 2000 years ago.<\/p>\n\n

From Piazza Navona and crossing the Sant’Angelo<\/strong> bridge, you will reach the castle of the same name. This building on the banks of the Tiber River was built in the second century after Christ to serve as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian. This castle has many curiosities, such as a fortified corridor that connects it with the Vatican in case the Pope had to escape, so we recommend you visit its interior and, if possible, with a guide. <\/p>\n\n

In Vatican City there are two essential places to visit. The first is St . The second point is the Vatican Museums<\/strong> where Michelangelo’s great masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel<\/strong>, is located. <\/p>\n\n

10. The Colosseum<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
